Strengthening India–Australia Energy Collaboration

The Energy Consortium works closely with Australian partners to advance research, innovation, and industry engagement across emerging energy technologies.

The consortium participated in the annual Energy Summit hosted at Deakin University, Australia, bringing together global experts to explore:

  • Sustainable energy systems
  • Circular economy solutions
  • Energy storage technologies
  • Microgrids and distributed energy
  • Industry-academia partnerships

These engagements continue to strengthen research collaboration between India and Australia while creating opportunities for technology deployment and commercialization.

A flagship collaboration is the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF) project with the University of Southern Queensland, led by Prof. Kothandaraman Ramanujam, focused on the eco-friendly recycling and repurposing of battery materials.
